There are at least 3 different ways to the course. They are as follows:-
From Melton Park, Gosforth Turn off the Great North Road in to Melton Park Estate, turn on to Kinglsey Ave (second left then right) and follow all the way to the very end until you hit Ferndale Ave. Continue until you see the bridle path, turn left as soon as you go through the gate and follow the map on the picture. If you have a GPS the bridle path can be found using NE3 5QE postcode. It is a nice 15 minute walk from the bridle path gate to the first hole. There is a path that runs all the way to the first hole. You will skirt the fields following ths path for a good 15 minutes until entering the woods. The first hole is just across a small ditch and will be marked by a number 1 on the tree. SEE MAP BELOW
From Broadway East/Gosforth Park First School This is a good place to park. If you are feeling brave you could also try parking at the Gosforth Golf Club to make your walk slightly shorter. Follow the footpath from the golf club for 5-10 minutes until you reach a t-junction at the end. Cross straight over and through an opening in the hedge leading to new trail. Continue walking for another 5-10 minutes through the woods untill you see the first hole.
Heathery Lane Heathery Lane can be found just off Salters lane, near Longbenton. The route it is fairly easy but there is not any parking (we wouldn't suggest taking your vehicle down Heathery Lane). From the end of Heathery lane the route is the same as the one shown above.
